Short version: Orbitaora doesn't require an account and doesn't run our own backend server. Public launch and learning content comes from Apple CloudKit. The only data that ever leaves your device is your advertising identifier, shared with Google AdMob to show ads.
We don't collect or store any personal data ourselves — we have no servers of our own that receive your information. The two outside data flows are Apple CloudKit and Google AdMob, described below.
Orbitaora reads launch schedules, mission results and AI-generated learning content from a public Apple CloudKit database. This is read-only, public data — no Apple ID or sign-in is required to use the app. If you're signed into iCloud on your device, Apple's CloudKit framework may associate requests with your Apple ID at the system level per Apple's own privacy terms; we do not receive or see your Apple ID.
Orbitaora shows ads through Google AdMob. When you view an ad, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, only after you grant App Tracking Transparency permission) and other advertising data, to select and measure ads. The app will ask for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission — if you decline, AdMob shows only non-personalized ads and does not use your device ID for personalization. AdMob is operated by Google and governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Your launch predictions, learning progress and settings are saved on your device. We plan to add optional sync via your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit's private database, tied to your own Apple ID and encrypted by Apple) so your progress can follow you across your own devices — this data is never visible to us and never sent to any server we control. This page will be updated first if that changes.
Orbitaora is designed for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Depending on your region and settings, ads shown may be non-personalized.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page first. The date above always reflects the current version.
